3 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga – Itinerary:
Day 1 : Marrakech – Dades Valley
After arriving in Marrakech, Morocco, we will traverse the High Atlas by a 2,260-meter-high pass. We next travel through picturesque villages before arriving at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. It is a fortified enclosure located within a walled town. You’ve seen this citadel in several well-known films. Following our visit to the Kasbah, we will journey via Ouarzazate and the spectacular Skoura palm grove. Finally, you have supper and spend the night at a hotel in Dades Gorge.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Merzouga
After breakfast, we will continue our journey via many Berber settlements. So, take advantage of the opportunity to admire the wonderful place in peace, and then we will visit the Todra Gorge, where we may have lunch. Furthermore, we will travel directly to Erg Chebbi’s golden dunes, where we shall begin our camel ride. You will also pause to view the sunset before going on to the center of the desert. After dinner, you’ll spend the night in a desert tent under the starry sky.
Day 3: Merzouga desert – Marrakech
You’ll need to wake up early this morning to view the spectacular sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast and a shower, we’ll take a leisurely drive back to Marrakech. We will visit the largest palm oasis in Morocco, located in the Draa Valley. You may also enjoy views of the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Then we have lunch in Ouarzazate before continuing to Marrakech. We drop you off at your hotel or riad.
