Itinerary : 4 Days Fes to Marrakech desert tour

Day 1: Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Gorges Ziz - Erfoud - Rissani - Merzouga

At 7:00 a.m., your driver will pick you up from your Riad or hotel. The seven-hour journey will take you through the Middle Atlas Mountains, Ifrane’s cedar forests, Azrou, Midelt, and the Ziz Gorges before arriving at the Sahara and Erg Chebbi sand dunes. After spending some time relaxing in Merzouga, we head to the camels waiting to take us on an adventure in the sand dunes. We’ll walk to a high dune to watch the sunset and spend the night in nomadic tents before heading to a camp with drum music in the heart of the Sahara.

DAY 2 : MERZOUGA - KHAMLIA VILLAGE - MERZOUGA

Breakfasting at the hotel. Following our investigation of the ancient coal mine, we will visit nomadic families for mint tea and learn about their way of life. After passing through Merzouga’s center, we will travel to Khamlia, a black settlement where true spiritual music is performed. Finally, in the late afternoon, we will embark on a camel trek to our camp, where we will eat dinner and spend the night in the desert.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert - Erfoud - Tinjdad - Todra Valley - Dades Gorges

The following day, as part of our 4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech. You’ll get up early to see the breathtaking sunrise over Merzouga erg Chebbi. Following breakfast and a shower at the desert camp, we will transport you back to Merzouga Village via camel or 44 (whichever you prefer). Following that, we’ll visit Rissani’s fossil museum and wander around the local market. It has served as the backdrop for numerous Hollywood film shoots, including “Lawrence of Arabia,” “Gladiator,” “Kingdom of Heaven,” “Prince of Persia,” and many others. Morocco’s kasbahs (fortifications) feature diverse architecture and cultures. Following our exploration of the kasbah, we will travel further into the High Atlas mountains via the “Tichka pass” until we arrive in Marrakech, where our 4-day tour from Fes to Marrakech will come to an end.
