Itinerary : 4 Days desert tour from Marrakech

Day 1 : Marrakech – Dades Valley

Arrive at Marrakech, Morocco. We will then traverse the High Atlas Mountains via a 2,260-meter-high pass. We will travel through picturesque villages before arriving to the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a fortified enclosure within a walled town. You will definitely remember this fortress because it has served as the setting for countless well-known films. To reach the Dades Valley from this kasbah, we’ll pass through Ouarzazate and the stunning Skoura palm grove. Finally, you have supper and stay the night at a hotel in the Dades Gorge.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Merzouga

The next day, after breakfast, we will continue our journey via several Berber villages. We will visit the Todra Gorge to take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful setting in peace and quiet, with the option of having lunch there. In addition, we will travel directly to Erg Chebbi’s golden dunes, where our camel ride will begin. Following that, we will take a break to watch the sunset before continuing on to the heart of the desert, where we will have dinner and spend the night in a Khaima beneath the desert’s starry skies.

Day 3: Merzouga – Ouarzazate

Early risers may witness the Sahara Desert sunrise from atop a dune. After breakfast, you’ll return to the hotel to shower. We will next pass via Rissani, Alnif, N’kob, and Agdz on our way back to Ouarzazate. Later, you’ll have ample time to visit Rissani’s souk before heading to Alnif, the Trilobite’s home.

Following lunch, we will proceed to N’kob. Following lunch, we continue on to Agdez, pausing along the route for a panoramic view of the Daraa Valley’s palm fields. We will journey through the Ait Saoun Mountains before arriving in Ouarzazate. Finally, supper and breakfast are served, followed by a hotel stay in Ouarzazate.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After breakfast at the accommodation, make another picture stop near the Atlas film studios. You will have time to visit Taourirt’s Kasbah. After that, you’ll visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou before stopping for lunch at a tiny restaurant. Furthermore, we traverse the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 meters above sea level) before arriving in Marrakech, the red city. We will finally drop you off at your accommodation.
