Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca and Transfer to Marrakech

You will be welcomed and driven to your Marrakech hotel as soon as you arrive at Casablanca Airport. We’ll go on a tour of Marrakech with a guide. Along with many other undiscovered gems, you will find the Saadian Tombs and the Palace. Continue your tour of the exquisite Koutoubia mosque and the renowned Jemaa el-Fna, two other sites in Marrakech’s medina, after lunch. The area is also worth a visit because it comes to life in the evening with local storytellers, artists, and delectable grills. A tour of the souk (market) will take place after the excursion’s conclusion. Stay the night at a local hotel or Riad.

Day 2: Marrakech - High Atlas - Ouarzazate - Boumaln Dades

After being picked up early in the morning from your Marrakech lodging, you will meet your guide and travel into the Atlas Mountains on the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. Here, indigenous Berber farmers continue to cultivate the land as they have done for decades. Continue your supper (on your own) to the UNESCO-listed A’t Benhaddou kasbah in Ouarzazate, popularly known as the Sahara Gate. As you tour the kasbah with your guide, learn about the several well-known films and photo shoots that were held there. From Skoura to Kasbah Amridil, travel through the palm and olive trees of the oasis, learning about its construction and history from your guide. Continue on to the nearby rose plantation Kelaa Mgouna by passing via the Rose Valley. View the workers mixing at one of the rose cooperatives.

Visit one of the roses co-operatives and watch the workers mix their ingredients to make pink scents, then head to their guest house in Boumalne Dades for an Overnight stay.

Day 3: Dades Gorges - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Sahara Desert of Merzouga

After breakfast, we from Boumalne Dades and travel through the Dades Valley via the renowned 1000 Kasbahs road. Visit a typical kasbah in the valley and hear your tour guide describe his part in the history of the area. Travel to the Tinghir oasis in the High Atlas foothills for a one-hour stroll along the Todgha River, which is lined with blooming palm and olive trees. Visit a few of the people in the Berber settlements with your guide before continuing on to the impressive Todgha gorges for lunch (at your expense).

After passing through the oasis cities of Erfoud and Merzouga, continue on to Erg Chebbi to board your camel train for the ride to the Sahara desert. Arrive at your desert tent for a traditional Moroccan meal under the stars as local nomads play traditional folk music after taking in the stunning Sahara sunset.

Day 4: Merzouga Sahara Desert - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Ifrane - Fes

To enjoy the sunrise on the sand dunes, get up early. Enjoy your breakfast in the desert before getting back in your car and travelling to Rissani, a holy city and the birthplace of Moulay Ali Cherif, the founder of the Alawite dynasty of Morocco, who ruled in the seventeenth century. After lunch in Midelt (on your own dime), proceed down the Ziz River where fortified kasbahs (classic Moroccan strongholds) are sandwiched amid thick palm plantations. Cross the rich Saiss plains, where local flora and fauna thrive, and the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Arrive at your riad or hotel in Fez in the afternoon.

Day 5: Sightseeing in Fes

After breakfast in your Riad, you will begin to explore the oldest city of Morocco “Fez”. Fes is so rich in culture, traditions, and gastronomy. It is known in Morocco as the capital culture of the country. This tour will allow you to walk in its oldest medieval medina, its alleys and its small streets. You will visit the Royal Palace Gate, the Blue Gate, and the Jewish Quarter, the first Mellah built in Morocco, built during the 14th century. You can enjoy the best cultural and historical attractions, such as the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the world, the tanneries, and the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. After lunch, you will visit the tile cooperative and then enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fez. Accommodation in the same Riad.

Day 6: Fes – Meknes – Roman Ruins of Volubilis – Casablanca

 

After breakfast, our driver/guide will transport you to Fez. Following our tour to the exploration of Meknes’ top sites, we will next proceed to drive toward Casablanca. After spending some time at a few fascinating locations in the Roman ruins of Volubilis, we’ll continue on to Rabat, where we can explore the Moroccan capital and see attractions like the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V before making our way to Casablanca.
